Founded in 2019, Skyqraft is an innovative AI/deep tech company helping utilities make better decisions about their grids. Leveraging artificial intelligence, aerial grid images are converted into powerful and usable management information. By analyzing and visually displaying grid insights, Skyqraft enables you to make smarter, more sustainable and cost-efficient decisions about your grid maintenance.

To reach the high ambitions, the company is looking for a Chief Revenue Officer.

About the role

The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) role is responsible for planning for and delivering the revenue needed to meet the company’s objectives. As such, the CRO owns the entire commercial function and is ultimately accountable for driving revenue growth, by leveraging and aligning all revenue-generating departments: marketing, sales and customer experience/customer success. 

In practice, the job entails determining the best ways to beat our competition, shorten our sales cycle, and maximize revenue and value to our client.

If you are the right one, you get triggered by the exciting challenge of building a commercial organization in a company with an established product fit and a pipeline of great customers. The CRO needs to be strongly forward leaning (winner instinct), able to set and drive commercial strategy, but also to execute on that strategy (ie we want an external, client facing resource that opens doors, establishes relationships and makes things happen).

The role will be responsible for:

The Sales team; Head of Sales, Sales Manager Nordics, Sales Manager Europe, Sales Manager North America.
The Operations Team: Head of Operations, Image Inspection, Drone Operations. The Operation Team is responsible for all drone partners collecting the data from the drones and making business out of it.
The Marketing Team: Head of Marketing. A new person will be recruited responsible for branding, marketing, communication and demand generation.
Finance: The company currently only has a junior position managing finance. The CRO will therefore have to oversee the finance function until a more senior (CFO or similar) has been hired. The current finance resource will have a dotted reporting line to CRO and CEO.

Some of your areas of responsibility:

  • Set a growth strategy for the company
  • Define KPIs and commercial targets, set a road map.
  • Create the company’s sales culture
  • GTM strategy, expansion
  • Be a role model and lead by example for the commercial management
  • Set best practice for the sales and customer processes.

Personal requirements

We believe you are driven by growing business, result oriented and have a commercial skillset. You are a do’er with solutions oriented mindset. Not afraid to get hands dirty and work hard to achieve goals. Other qualities and skills needed are:

  • Great communication and negotiation skills.

  • Fluency in English (verbal and written).
  • Strong numerical and analytical abilities
  • Strong sense of urgency.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on commercial development, sales, operations or similiar with proven track record of results and achievements.
  • Excellent understanding of B2B complex enterprise sales.
  • Experience from an international context.
  • Proven track record from growing a business or increasing sales in a growth company.
  • At least BSc degree in relevant field, preferably Handels or similar.

Meriting:

  • Experience from SaaS sales
  • Experience from start-up, scale-up
  • 2 years as management consultant at top tier

Skyqraft

Today, the company consists of a team of experts, with extensive and in depth expertise within power line inspections, machine learning and computer vision, drone operations, customer service and business management. They are 20 employees, where the development team of 11 developers is led by CTO and Founder David Wikström.

Skyqraft is a trusted partner of some of the most forward looking and influential utility companies in Europe and North America, like Eon, Vattenfall, Ellevio, providing them with data and insights needed to plan and maintain their existing and future infrastructure. Skyqraft has for the past couple of years been laser focused on developing the best possible product for their clients. It is now time to package that product, build brand awareness and drive sales.

Skyqraft’s culture aspires to be energetic, forward leaning, results-oriented, client-centric, high paced culture with high ambition, but also a lot of fun.
