Since its launch in 2000, Stratsys has evolved from simply one to over twenty different products. We offer an entire platform of solutions and services for both the public and private sectors across a range of industries. Our 150 employees, based in Gothenburg, Malmö and Stockholm, support over 300 organisations representing 200,000 users in Sweden and Norway.

 

The Role

 As part of the Management team, the CMO plays a critical part in the success of Stratsys’s growth, helping to achieve revenue and profit goals by devising and executing a marketing strategy that effectively communicates positioning and values through suitable marketing channels.

The marketing team at Stratsys currently consists of 6 skilled and motivated figures, each with specialist roles, good track records and a drive to achieve success. Furthermore, the Stratsys marketing team can benefit from numerous marketing assets in the Verdanes sphere; a large team of marketing experts, comprehensive tools, and a best practice community. 

 The CMO obtains qualified lead generation by heavily scrutinising data flow, understand what the customer’s purchase triggers are and gain traction through effective online channels. Branding, PR, content marketing and campaigns are integral to increasing the inbound traffic with thought leadership as the guiding star. This CMO works closely with and has the responsibility for influencing sales; instigating and executing ideas which directly provides a route to to lead generation and improvs the conversion of leads to power the sales funnel. A key initiative for marketing and sales is marketing automation with the use of Hubspot. The CMO holds full budgetary responsibility and this amount has increased from year to year.

 The CMO also has the responsibility for product marketing and works closely with Product teams in Gothenburg to fundamentally understand the customers’ needs and then direct this information into specifications which capture market requirements. It is then essential that these requirements are incorporated in the marketing message and customer communication as well as Stratsys’ overall strategic direction. In addition to communicating product releases, other activities are executed towards existing customers. Including newsletters, events, customer surveys, populating the customer help centre with fresh content and delivering ad-on-sales campaigns.

 

Qualifications and experience:

·      5+ year’s of international marketing experience from successful software / Internet business, preferably one that has had its own growth story.

·      Experience of analysing varied lead generation activities with proven results in relation to revenue and profit.

·      Experience of driving an online approach to sales and ensuring the data flow is managed effectively. Ecommerce experience would be a great benefit.

·      Highly numerate with a strong background in data analysis whilst retaining creative.

·      Preferably B2B experience with -based software and services.

·      Experience in rapid growth and fast paced environments.

·      Outside of Marketing as part of the Management Team, this person will need to contribute to the overall strategy of the company.

·      Experience with budgetary responsibility.

·      Highly motivated, ambitious and unpretentious leader with drive, energy and ingenuity to reach objectives.

·      A creative and agile thought leader with a structured mind-set and ability to pilot processes and campaigns according to marketing best practice both offline and online.

·      Excellent management, interpersonal, leadership, communication and presentation skills required.

·      Ability to collaborate with, hire and lead cross-functional, cross-regional teams.

·      Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to articulate complex technical and business issues clearly towards customers and the market.

 Education:

·      Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science or equivalent.
